Creating Inbound Routes #
Configure how calls enter your system and reach their final destination.
💡 Quick Tip: When you create a Destination, an Inbound Route is automatically configured for you.
Getting Started #
Route Configuration #
Fill in the details below to define your call routing logic. Once finished, click Save.
| Field | Description & Instructions |
|---|---|
| Type | Select Inbound for incoming calls or Outbound for outgoing traffic. |
| Destination | This is typically the DID (Phone Number) a caller dials to reach you. |
| Actions |
Choose where the call goes (e.g., an Extension, Ring Group, or IVR).
Using Dialplans: To use a dialplan as an action, go to Dialplan > Dialplan Manager, edit the entry, and set Destination to True.
|
| Caller ID Prefix | Adds a custom label to the Caller ID (e.g., “Sales: “) so you know the call’s purpose before answering. |
| Record | Toggle this to On if you wish to record all calls arriving at this destination. |
| Status | Use Enabled to make the route active immediately, or Disabled to save it for later. |
Advanced Management #
- Context: For standard inbound routing, this should usually be set to
public. - Account Code: Primarily used for integration with external billing or accounting systems.
- Domain: Routes can be made “Global” (available to all tenants) or specific to a single domain.
