DP752 Base Station #

A quick guide to registering handsets and connecting your DP752 to PeerOne.

The Grandstream DP752 is a long-range VoIP DECT base station that supports multiple handsets and lines. This guide provides steps to connect the base to your network, pair handsets, and check registration status.

What You Need #

  • Grandstream DP752 Base Station
  • Compatible DECT handset (DP720, DP722, or DP730)
  • Ethernet cable (required)
  • Power adapter (if not using PoE)
  • Your PeerOne SIP account credentials

Step 1 — Connect the Base Station #

  1. Plug an Ethernet cable from your router or PoE switch into the LAN port of the DP752.
  2. If no PoE is available, connect the included power adapter.
  3. The device will power on and obtain an IP address from your router.
Tip: You can check the assigned IP address from your router’s DHCP client list.

Step 2 — Register the Handset #

Before making calls, the handset must be paired (subscribed) to the base station.

  1. On the DP752, press and hold the Subscription (Pairing) button for 3–5 seconds.
  2. The DECT LED will start blinking — the base is now in pairing mode.
  3. On the handset, go to:
    Menu → Settings → Registration → Register
  4. Select the base (e.g., Base 1) and press Subscribe.
  5. Wait for the handset to show a confirmation screen and assign a handset number.
Note: If registration fails, restart both the base and handset and try again.

Step 3 — Check Registration Status #

You can verify that the handset and base are properly linked:

  • The DECT LED on the DP752 becomes solid (not blinking).
  • The handset screen shows the base name and handset number (e.g., HS1).
  • You can place internal and outbound calls if SIP registration is active.

Step 4 — Test Calling #

  • Dial an outside number to confirm outbound calling.
  • Ask someone to call your PeerOne number to confirm inbound calling.
  • Check audio quality and confirm no delays or cutouts.

Troubleshooting #

  • Handset not registering: Ensure the DECT LED is blinking before subscribing.
  • No dial tone: Confirm your SIP account is properly registered with PeerOne.
  • Poor audio: Move closer to the base station or remove interference sources.
  • Base not on network: Check Ethernet cable or router DHCP settings.

Security & Best Practices #

  • Update DP752 firmware when recommended by PeerOne.
  • Use secure passwords for web access and SIP accounts.
  • Place the base station in a centralized open area for best signal coverage.
