Download the PeerOne Softphone #
Install the Windows client, then configure your SIP account using the settings below.
The PeerOne Softphone for Windows lets you make and receive VoIP calls using your PeerOne account on your PC. Follow this guide to download, install, and configure your softphone.
What You Need #
- A Windows 10 or later PC
- Internet connection
- Your PeerOne SIP account credentials
- Optional: USB or wired headset for best audio quality
Step 1 – Download & Install #
- Click the Download for Windows button above.
- Save the .exe installer file to your computer.
- Double-click the downloaded file to start the installer.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
- When finished, launch the PeerOne Softphone from your Start menu or desktop.
Note:
If Windows SmartScreen shows a security warning, choose
More info > Run anyway. The PeerOne softphone installer is safe to run.
Step 2 – Configure Your SIP Account #
Open the softphone and go to Settings → Account (or similar). Enter the values provided by PeerOne:

| Login | Usually the same as your Username/Extension unless specified otherwise |
| Password | Your SIP/VoIP password provided by PeerOne |
| Display Name | Your name as you want it to appear to other callers (for example, Harris – PeerOne) |
Save the account. The softphone should show a status like Registered or Online once connected.
Step 3 – Make & Receive Calls #
- To place a call, enter the phone number or extension and click the Call button.
- For incoming calls, click Answer to pick up.
- Use the on-screen keypad, call history, or contacts list for faster dialing.
- Connect a headset and select it as your audio device in the softphone settings for best quality.
Step 4 – Recommended Settings #
- Enable Start on Windows login if you want the softphone always available.
- Check Audio settings and confirm the correct microphone and speakers/headset are selected.
- Use a wired Ethernet connection when possible to reduce jitter and packet loss.
- If your softphone supports it, enable modern codecs like Opus for better quality.
