Updated on December 5, 2025

Port Forwarding & Disable ASIP LAG on TP-Link Deco #

This guide walks you through disabling ASIP LAG and setting up Port Forwarding on TP-Link Deco systems to ensure PeerOne servers and devices communicate properly.

Follow the steps below to configure your TP-Link Deco for PeerOne VoIP and server communication. These steps are based directly on the official PeerOne setup instructions.

1. Log In to the Deco App #

  1. Open the TP-Link Deco app on your mobile device.
  2. Make sure you are logged in with the correct TP-Link account.
  3. Confirm you are connected to the correct Deco site / location.

2. Disable ASIP LAG (Smart/Application Acceleration) #

Some Deco models include application or latency optimisation features (ASIP LAG) that can interfere with stable SIP/VoIP connections. Follow these steps to disable it:

  1. In the Deco app, go to More or Advanced settings for the site.
  2. Locate the option related to Acceleration, ASIP LAG, or QoS / Optimization (name may vary by model).
  3. Turn the feature Off or disable it for the network/VLAN used by the PeerOne server.
  4. Save or apply the changes.
Tip: If you don’t see an exact “ASIP LAG” label, look for any setting that mentions SIP optimization, traffic acceleration, or gaming/streaming acceleration and disable it for testing.

3. Configure Port Forwarding on Deco #

Next, configure Port Forwarding so external traffic can reach your PeerOne server or device. Use the ports and internal IP provided by PeerOne or your installer.

  1. In the Deco app, open the More or Advanced menu.
  2. Choose Port Forwarding (sometimes under NAT or Router settings).
  3. Tap Add or + to create a new rule.
  4. Enter a clear Service Name, such as PeerOne Server.
  5. Set the Internal IP Address of the PeerOne server or device (for example, 192.168.1.50).
  6. Enter the required External Port and Internal Port (e.g., 13225–13226, or the port range supplied by PeerOne).
  7. Select the correct Protocol (usually TCP, UDP, or TCP/UDP).
  8. Save or apply the rule, then confirm it appears in the Port Forwarding list.

4. Verify Connectivity #

  • Restart the PeerOne server or device after changes are applied.
  • Confirm the device is showing as online in the PeerOne platform or monitoring tools.
  • Test remote access or VoIP calls from outside the Deco network to ensure the ports are working.

5. Troubleshooting Tips #

  • Double-check the internal IP has not changed (use DHCP reservation if needed).
  • Verify that the same ports are not used by another rule or device.
  • Ensure there is no second router/NAT in front of the Deco causing “double NAT”.
  • If problems continue, provide screenshots of your Deco Port Forwarding page to PeerOne Support.

If you run into issues or are unsure about which ports to forward, please contact PeerOne Support with your Deco model number and a screenshot of your current settings.
